Since 2009 is ZSD company one of the major partners of the HC Rebel Havlíčkův Brod ice hockey team.The team was established already in 1928 and ice hockey has a big tradition in Havlíčkův Brod. Since that time lots of popular ice hockey players acted there like for example brothers Jiří and Jaroslav Holík, Josef Augusta or Jan Suchý.Since 2006 takes the club regularly part in the Division 1 Czech Republic. In 2009/2010 season they finished tenth under coach Petr Novák.

Within the framework of its sponsor activities, ŽSD a.s. granted a financial donation to the National Theatre Brno and co-financed Reduta theatre art operations in 2009. Reduta is one of the oldest theatres in Central Europe and the performances in the next season will include many interesting plays, operas and ballets.

The year 2009 was no exception, and ŽSD a.s. sponsored the Olomouc Autumn Festival of Sacred Music again. As every year, the festival took place in the most beautiful churches and concert halls in Olomouc and its immediate surroundings.

For the whole 2009/2010 season, ŽSD a.s. has been a partner for Brno sports, specifically the HC Kometa Brno ice hockey extra league club. Many interesting matches and beautiful goals can be seen in the Rondo hall. The top ice hockey competition has returned to Brno after thirteen years, so we keep our fingers crossed and look forward to future sports events.

ŽSD a.s. has become a partner of Miss Europe & World – Junior 2008, which is the official name of the international girl beauty and communication skill contest for girls from 15 to 21 years old. The final contest took place on the Norwegian Gem ocean liner on 3 October 2008 during the Mediterranean cruise. The winner was Solange Elizabeth Romeo Martinez, a brunette from Venezuela, the first vice-miss is a Linda Mošaťová from Slovakia and Michaela Dihlová from the Czech Republic took the third place.

In 2006, ŽSD a.s. bought and donated five special EXCELENT children’s beds for the Brno Children’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit. These beds are helpful every day not only to doctors but also, most importantly, to ill children during their stay in the hospital.
