ŽSD Policy

The ŽSD a.s. trading company has adopted the following policy to manage its activities in all building process stages, from the preparation, execution, and existence till the end of life and removal of the building. This policy is the basis for common goals and programmes to ensure conditions for good-quality, environmentally-friendly, safe and not-dangerous-to-health activities, minimizing the risks of possible impact on the employees and other cooperating entities taking part in the company’s activities as well as on the public.

The ŽSD joint-stock company management announces this corporate policy and commits itself to the following:

Customer Satisfaction

The main goal of the company is the constant and continuously improving satisfaction of customers’ requirements and wishes when providing our services through a high level of activity resources. Another goal is to improve our position on the domestic market in the field of building-material usage on building sites, and to penetrate foreign markets in this area over time. Only a satisfied customer will engage us again!

Continuous Improvement

The company keeps improving the quality of services provided, not least by introducing new software for document and job-offer processing, and by investing in the machinery and equipment. In building, we wish to keep increasing the share of our own work on executed jobs.

Management Relationship to the Employees

Only a strong, stabilized workforce, specialists in their professions, may guarantee the quality of services provided. The company management oversees a constant increase in the professional level of our employees through education and training. To meet our challenges, the top priority is given to each employee’s satisfaction both at work and in private life.

Compliance with the requirements of applicable legislation and other requirements is ensured by regular updates of the database of standards, regulations and customer requirements and by consulting company activities with public agencies and municipal authorities, not only as regards the environment.

Minimizing Negative Environmental Impacts

Effective use of building materials during constructions and reconstructions leads to the saving of natural raw material resources, the minimization of dumped waste amount and, last but not least, a reduction in negative freight traffic impacts.

Encouraging Business Partners to Protect the Environment

Through consulting, we inform our business partners about the optional treatment and further use of building materials that would otherwise become waste.

The company management publishes its policy and goals at places accessible to all employees. The public may familiarize themselves with these documents in promotional materials and on the website.


In the OHS, the company management commit themselves to the following:

  • Be a responsible business partner in the ŽSD field of activity. Satisfy customer needs while keeping all health Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
  • In fulfilling legal and other requirements and own commitments, preferably use preventative approaches and continuously improve the overall OHS level.
  • Put emphasis on industrial accident and damage-to-health prevention in all business areas.
  • Establish annual OHS targets based on prior year results and development trends.
  • Perform regular OHS system audits and carefully assess OHS performance to ensure compliance with this Policy.
  • Meet all requirements of applicable legal and other generally binding regulations related to Occupational Health and Safety, and other requirements applicable to the company that the company is committed to fulfil.
  • Consistently comply with measures to eliminate identified risks, and require our suppliers to comply with these measures.
  • Mutually communicate and consult on major OHS issues with our employees, cooperating entities and the public with the aim of perceiving and respecting their opinions and recommendations.
