ŽSD a.s. operates not only on the Czech market but also develops its foreign activities. A branch in Poland was set up in 2007. This subsidiary offers our Polish partners waste management and recycling services in the reconstruction of Polish railways. In addition, the company offers new solutions in railway track ballast recycling.
ŽSD plans to further expand its foreign activities also to the countries of the former Yugoslavia, with the aim of becoming a major player in environmental programmes.
In Slovakia, ŽSD actively cooperates with ŽSD Slovakia, s.r.o., founded early in 2005. The sphere of ŽSD Slovakia activities also includes waste management, recycling during Slovak railway corridor modernisation, and demolitions. In the future, the company wishes to become more specialized in construction work and building material recycling.
